LocalDVM.com Forecast for Sunday 05 May 2019

Weather Forecasts

Good evening everyone!  Heavy showers and storms are possible for the overnight.  A thunderstorm or two may be severe.  This thunderous weather will occur mainly in the Piedmont east of the Blue Ridge and the southern part of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  The majority of the storms will be to the south of our region.

Overnight Forecast Saturday 04 May 2019

The threat of flooding is the primary concern for these showers and storms.  We should all see a good inch of rain.  Some locations may see 1 to 3 inches of heavy rainfall, and a few localized areas could see up to 4 inches of heavy rain!

Flash Flood Watch for Sunday 05 May 2019

Avoid floodwaters at all cost.  It is not worth the risk.  Turn around and find an alternate route.  Be sure the kids and even some of the adults to say clear from flood waters.  Flood waters could contain debris and microbial matter which could sicken them.  Plus there is the risk of being swept away by floodwaters.

Day Planner Forecast for Sunday 05 May 2019

Clouds will remain in the region going into Monday morning, where veils will begin to part.  We are looking forward to more sunshine as we head throughout Monday and into Tuesday.  Temperatures will rebound into the 70’s and 80’s.  Clouds will increase Tuesday night into Wednesday.

We have another chance of showers and a possible thundershower or two as we head into the mid to late part of the week.  Keep it tuned here to WDVM 25 for the latest information.
