Weather Forecasts

A few peeks in the clouds for your Thursday!  More clouds will filter into the region overnight!  Expect another mild one out there!

As we head into Friday, we may start with broken skies.  Then, we will see a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours.  This weather pattern may affect some of the regions midday Good Friday events.  However, a few isolated to scattered showers and storms possible during the afternoon.  We will see more showers and thunderstorms as we head closer to that drive home!

Day Planner Forecast for Friday 19 April 2019

Some storms on Friday will be severe.  The Storm Prediction Center has moved most of the area into a Slight Risk of Severe Weather.  This movement suggests as if the center of low pressure will make a more northerly trend, giving us a few more storms in the area, while most of them will occur south on I-66 and into Richmond along the I-95 then into the Carolinas.  We will keep a close eye on the storms and bring you the latest!

SEVERE WEATHER for Friday 19 April 2019

Rainfall may over into Saturday morning.  Many locations in our area already have Flash Flood Watches in effect out ahead of this Friday-Saturday system.  We can expect a good inch of rain Friday afternoon and evening into Saturday morning.  Turn Around!  Don’t Drown!

Sunday’s weather tries to clean up its act before church with a few peeks of clouds.  The forecast calls for a slight chance of tears in the skies, which may fall to the surface.  Highs will be comfortable into the low to mid-60’s!  Just be sure the kids have an extra change of clothes before they run out and destroy their Easter Best!  The grounds may be a bit wet out Sunday.

We will continue the summer-like rain chance trend as we head into the week.  The highest chance of rain next work week looks to be Tuesday, but we may yet see something else to occur later on in the week.  Temperatures will rebound into the 70’s!  Stay tuned for the latest weather here at WDVM 25!

Thursday night:  Mostly cloudy skies.  Lows will be in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s.  Winds will be out of the south at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph!

Friday:  Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be active while a few will turn severe.  Storms could also house heavy rain and gusty winds!  Highs will be in the 70’s.  Winds will be out of the south 10-20 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph!

Saturday:  Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers during the morning.  Highs will be in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s.  

Sunday:  Expect partly cloudy skies with a chance of showers.  Highs will be in the low to mid 60’s.

Monday:  Partly to mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of a shower.  Highs will be in the low to mid 70’s.

Tuesday:  Partly to mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers with a rumble of thunder in the afternoon and evening.  Highs will be in the mid to upper 70’s.

Wednesday:  Anticipate broken skies with a slight chance of a morning shower.  Highs will be in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s.  

Thursday:  Partly to mostly cloudy skies.  Highs will be in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s.
