There will be a slight chance of a shower or storm as we head into Thursday evening. These look to be pop-up showers and thunderstorms, similar to yesterday, but they have more heat from today’s high temperatures, which have caused a few to ramp up a bit. Showers and thunderstorms should exit the region before sundown.
Another round of storms is possible for Friday as the front passes over with Saturday’s system stalling out into the region over the weekend. A few areas could see up to 2 inches of rain over the weekend!
Storms for Thursday and Friday will be short-lived and isolated severe. Winds and small hail are the main threats along with the potential for heavy rain bands embedded into the storms. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, but this system is by no means as powerful the last round of severe weather we had here in our region. Stay tuned!
If you are going out to Apple Blossom, Friday be sure to dress for the weather. Another hot and humid day with a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Be sure you have the rain gear nearby.
More torrential rains are likely for the weekend may give us a good inch of rain if not 2 inches of rainfall. Thursday nights and Friday nights possible showers will generally be less than a quarter of an inch with a few locations only seeing a half or so.
Next week looks like a good stop for Monday through Wednesday with a slight chance of thundershowers coming on next Thursday.
