David’s Wednesday Forecast 6/6/18

Weather Forecasts

Happy Wednesday everyone! After yesterday’s speed bump of some storms, we’re back to pleasant and dry weather for the next 48 hours! So put away that rain gear, but know where you put it as you will likely need it this upcoming weekend (sorry).

It’s another cool start to the day as a clear sky has left us a bit chilly with temperatures in the 50s. I’d actually recommend grabbing a light jacket for the morning and into the afternoon as our highs today will only reach around 70! That’s over 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. This is due to yesterday’s cold front passing through and now we have some cooler air coming in from the north as Canadian high pressure moves in. This will leave us very spring-like with low humidity. We warm a bit tomorrow as temperatures make it back towards 80 with less of that low humidity. This trend continues into Friday as that high pressure moves offshore. With high pressure exiting and noticeable afternoon warmth and humidity, we’ll likely see a shower/thunderstorm pop up by the afternoon on Friday. Coverage will be very isolated with the best chance towards the mountains west of 81.

In what seems to be the norm, rain chances return this weekend as another cold front moves towards the area Saturday before moving through overnight. We’ll want to watch for more flooding concerns as some of these storms may bring heavy rain. This front tries to clear the area to the south by the start of our next work week, but it may get hung up and leave us with continuing rain chances. Right now the rain chances for Monday and Tuesday look to be relatively small and scattered at best.

Here is a look at your 7-day forecast:

Today: Partly sunny and spring-like with low humidity. Highs in the low 70s. North winds around 5-10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear and chilly. Lows in the low 50s, some areas in the upper 40s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and warmer. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a slight chance for some afternoon showers. Highs in the low 80s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs in the low 80s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs in the low 80s.

Monday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Highs in the upper 70s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Have a great Wednesday!
