Adam’s Local Forecast for 5.9.19

Weather Forecasts

Happy Thursday, everyone! Cloud cover will remain rather stubborn through the day, so we’ll have to at least contend with that for the majority of the day. While much of the morning and afternoon is dry, I can’t rule out a few showers and even a rumble of thunder or two as a warm front lifts to the north. Coverage of any kind of rain should remain spotty, so we’re not dealing with a wash-out. A cold front will approach the region on Friday, sending a better chance for some showers and thunderstorms our way. A few of these storms may be gusty at times, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates on your Friday outlook. Unfortunately, the weekend doesn’t fair much better.

While much of Saturday is dry by day, we do still have a chance for some isolated showers at times, with chances increasing overnight and into Mother’s Day itself. A wave of low pressure will run along a front just to our south and send a decent slug of rain our way. Have your indoor plans ready to go for Mother’s Day. Some showers may linger into Monday and even Tuesday, but the overall outlook for the start of next week is far better than the weekend. Showers may return by next Wednesday.

Here’s a look at your extended forecast:

Today: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Highs: 70-75. Southeast winds at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a few showers still possible. Lows: 61-66. South winds around 10 mph.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Saturday: Becoming partly cloudy with a few showers possible by day. Highs in the upper 60s.

Mother’s Day: Mostly cloudy with rain likely and a few storms possible. Highs in the mid 60s.

Monday: Partly cloudy with a chance for some morning showers. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Tuesday: Partly sunny. Highs in the low 70s.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with a chance for some showers. Highs in the low to mid 70s.

Have a great day!
