Thank Goodness it’s Friday! The first Friday of the new month will, unfortunately, pick up some of the bad habits from Friday. While the morning is decent beyond some stray showers, we must watch the afternoon and evening for yet another chance for some unsettled weather. A cold front will push through the region later today, sparking the chance to see some showers and thunderstorms. A few of these storms, like yesterday, may be strong to severe with gusty winds and hail acting as the primary concerns. Please keep an eye on the skies if you have any outdoor plans later today. Our shower and thunderstorm chances will linger into the night before things slowly calm down.
The morning on Saturday should be a decent one with dry weather in place, but another low pressure system will track along Friday’s cold front and move into the region later in the day. Showers and a few thunderstorms are likely through Saturday night and into Sunday morning before we try to dry out again later in the afternoon. The start of next week is actually looking pretty good with high pressure in place on Monday. Despite a rather weak front moving into the area on Tuesday, much of that day should be dry as well. Late week rain, however, returns for the second half of next week.
