A few more showers and thunderstorms are possible on Thursday with another piece of energy moving through the region. For the third day in a row, we run another risk for some strong to severe storms at times…and this risk lingers as a cold front pushes through the region later in the evening and into the night. A much needed break takes us into the end of the week and into the first half of the weekend. Showers and a few storms are also possible on Sunday as a new cold front pushes into the Mid-Atlantic. Cooler, drier, and more stable air returns for the first half of next week.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms are likely, especially before and the further north you go. Otherwise, we’re mostly cloudy. Lows: 66-71. West winds at 5 to 15 mph.
Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms likely. Some storms may be severe. Highs: 87-92. West winds at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the upper 80s.
Friday: A few morning showers, then gradually clearer. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
Saturday: Partly to mostly sunny. Highs in the low 80s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the low 80s.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid to upper 70s.
Tuesday: Partly sunny. Highs in the mid to upper 70s.
