Happy Wednesday, everyone! Cloud cover will be more prevalent today as a back-door cold front pushes south and west through the region. High temperatures today will be heavily dependent on how far this front pushes through the region. Areas north and east of the boundary will be in the low to mid 60s. Locations south and west of the front, however, will see temperatures likely climb into the low to mid 70s. Regardless, we all run the risk for a few isolated showers over the course of the day. This boundary will lift northward as a warm front, sending a surge of warm air our way on Thursday. Everyone gets in on the mid to upper 70s for highs with another small chance for a few isolated showers.
A potent low pressure system will gear up and move into the region on Friday. While the morning is mainly dry, later parts of the day hold a chance for showers and thunderstorms…the latter of which may be strong to severe in intensity. Please be sure to keep an eye out for future updates on your Friday evening outlook if you have any plans during this time. An upper level low will slowly spin through the region on Saturday, keeping scattered shower chances in place for the first half of the weekend. Gradual clearing takes over on Sunday as high pressure attempts to take over once more. The outlook for early next week is hazy and is heavily dependent on where a frontal boundary sets up shop.
