Adam’s Local Forecast for 4.16.19

Weather Forecasts

Happy Tuesday, everyone! High pressure will continue to build into the region and keep things calm…something we didn’t have with yesterday’s wind. We’ll also warm up quite nicely with mostly sunny skies in place at first. Cloud cover, however, will slowly increase through the afternoon and evening. This will be the only blemish to an otherwise rather nice day, so be sure to enjoy it. A backdoor front will sink into the region on Wednesday, and that may spark a few isolated showers along the way. With that said, much of the day on Wednesday is mostly cloudy with a slight cool-down into the low to mid 60s.

This front will lift north as a warm front on Thursday, sending temperatures back into the 70s as we head toward the end of the week. Thursday will be a mainly calm day, which is a good thing considering the fact that we’re closely watching the potential for another round of gusty thunderstorms on Friday. An amplified trough will pivot through the area, acting as a catalyst for these showers and thunderstorms. There will also be a lot of moisture to work with during this time, so we’ll need to keep an eye on the flooding potential as well as the chance for strong to severe storms. An associated upper level low will slowly depart, keeping the chance for scattered showers in place this weekend…especially Saturday. Another warm-up starts the next week.

Here’s a look at your extended forecast:

Today: Partly sunny. Highs: 65-70. West winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Lows: 46-51. Winds will be light and variable.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with isolated showers possible. Highs in the low 60s.

Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid 70s.

Friday: Cloudy with rain likely and a chance for some thunderstorms. Highs in the low to mid 70s.

Saturday: Cloudy with scattered showers possible. Highs in the mid to upper 60s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with isolated showers possible. Highs in the mid 60s.

Monday: Partly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.

Have a great day!
