Adam’s Local Forecast for 09.13.18

Good Wednesday evening, everyone! We were able to warm up a bit more today, but it was still rather cloudy throughout the region. We’ve also see a few showers in the area, especially towards Montgomery County. Additional showers are possible tonight and into the day on Thursday, but it won’t be a wash-out by any means. Temperatures will warm up a little bit more and get closer to average for this time of year despite a decent bit of cloud cover. All eyes then go to Hurricane Florence, who is still expected to make landfall in the Carolinas by Friday afternoon. While we’ll be spared from the worst of this hurricane, we may still see some rain from the outer bands of this system (After all, this is a large storm).

Rain chances this weekend are not completely gone, but we’ll leave in the chance for scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Beyond that, the weekend is far from a wash-out. What’s left of Florence may still impact our neck of the woods, depending on how these remnants act once over land. Showers and thunderstorms are possible, as a result, through the first part of next week. While rain totals may not be anywhere near as high as what they may see in the Carolinas, it may still exacerbate flooding concerns…especially considering how much rain we’ve seen already this month. Rain chances will slowly diminish by the end of next week.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and patchy fog. Lows: 68-73. Winds will be light and variable.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs: 79-84. North winds around 5 mph.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the upper 70’s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s.

Sunday: Partly sunny with a chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the mid to upper 70’s.

Monday: Cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the mid to upper 70’s.

Tuesday: Cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs in the upper 70’s.

Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms. Highs in the upper 70’s.
