Happy Monday! Rain will linger through much of the day today, so be sure to have your rain gear ready to go. A few breaks in the rainfall may be seen now and again, but it won’t last for very long. Temperatures today will struggle to get out of the 50s in a similar manner to what we went through on Mother’s Day. The associated area of low pressure will be slow to get out of here, so we’ll leave the chance for some showers on Tuesday morning. By the afternoon, we should get some improvement headed our way. With that said, we’ll remain on the cooler side of the thermometer by mid-May standards.
High pressure moves in on Wednesday, giving us one of the better days of the extended forecast. Sadly, high pressure is quick to get out of here, so the break doesn’t last for very long. A weak cold front will pass through the region on Thursday, sparking a chance for a few showers. Friday is where things get a little hazy. There is a decent bit of spread on how another front will behave as it moves into the area. The one constant is the chance for rain on Friday. Otherwise, there’s plenty of discord on the temperature side of things. This uncertainty lingers into Saturday and Sunday (The latter to a lesser extent), so be advised that the weekend outlook is subject to change…especially with regard to high temperatures.
Here’s a look at your extended forecast:
