Temperatures climb into the 50s Friday, but will it last this weekend?

Turning colder by the weekend

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (WDVM) — WE’LL SEE A GRADUAL WARM-UP ON FRIDAY AS A WEAK COLD FRONT MOVES EASTWARD DURING THE AFTERNOON. THIS WILL SET US UP FOR TEMPERATURES TO CLIMB A BIT HIGHER THAN THEY HAVE BEEN LATELY. WHILE HIGHS REACH THE LOW 50S DURING THE AFTERNOON, THE WARMTH WILL BE SHORT-LIVED, AS THE AFOREMENTIONED FRONT WILL HAVE ANOTHER PUSH OF COLD AIR THAT ARRIVES IN TIME FOR THE WEEKEND.

UNDER MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES, SATURDAY DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL STILL STRUGGLE TO GET OUT OF THE UPPER 30S AND LOWER 40S IN MANY AREAS. SUNDAY GETS US BACK INTO THE 40S, WITH 50S ON THE WAY BY THE START OF NEXT WEEK. BY THIS POINT, WE NEED TO WATCH OUT FOR SOME RAIN. THERE IS A LARGE SPREAD OF SOLUTIONS IN THE LONG-RANGE MODEL OUTLOOK, WITH SOME GIVING US A SOAKING RAIN WHILE OTHERS KEEP US DRY. KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR UPDATES AS WE GO INTO THE START OF NEXT WEEK.

HERE’S A LOOK AT YOUR EXTENDED FORECAST:

OVERNIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY AND COLD. LOWS: 22-27. SOUTH WINDS AROUND 5 MPH.

FRIDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGHS IN THE LOW 50S.

SATURDAY: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGHS AROUND 40 DEGREES.

SUNDAY: VARIABLY CLOUDY. HIGHS IN THE LOW TO MID 40S.

MONDAY: MOSTLY CLOUDY. POSSIBLE SHOWERS. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 40S AND LOW 50S.

TUESDAY: VARIABLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE FOR SOME MOUNTAIN SNOW SHOWERS AND COASTAL RAIN SHOWERS. HIGHS AROUND 40 DEGREES.

WEDNESDAY: PARTLY SUNNY AND COLD. HIGHS IN THE MID TO UPPER 30S.

THURSDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY AND SLIGHTLY MILDER. HIGHS IN THE MID TO UPPER 40S.

HAVE A GREAT REST OF YOUR DAY!
