Stephanie’s Friday Forecast 2/6/15

High pressure will linger around the region until Saturday and we’ll see the return of Southerly flow tomorrow, bringing in high temperatures in the 40’s tomorrow.  The second half of the weekend could be soggy for a few spots.  An upper level trough will travel from the Midwest and reach the 4State late on Sunday — the atmosphere will be too mild from the previous air mass that will keep the weekend mild, so (as of now) this event could end up being rain for most of the region.  Temps should be above 32 degrees for most of the region on Monday as precipitation continues, but the event could end as snow late Monday night.  Models are showing upslope snow for Garrett Co. and the Potomac Highlands for Monday.  Models are not handling the storm track well, so this could change over the weekend; make sure to stay updated with us!
