Stay weather aware on this Sunday as showers and storms, several of which will be severe during the evening hours. A few thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon, and a few may turn severe as we head into the early evening.
The bulk of the storms will come in as a line of showers and thunderstorms, which will potentially lead to damaging winds. A few storms out ahead of the main line could spin up a tornado. Small hail is also possible with the storms tonight.
Most of the region is under a Slight Risk of Severe Weather. A Slight Risk means that scattered severe storms are possible. However, the latest outlook from the Storm Prediction Center has a part of our area under an Enhanced Risk of severe weather.
An Enhanced Risk means that numerous severe storms will be possible. The thunderstorms this evening and the overnight have the chance to turn severe early with isolated impacts, but later on, during the evening and overnight, storms will become more widespread, and several will turn severe with strong damaging winds being the primary impact.
We have a chance to see small hail and potential for isolated flooding in spots. There is a slight chance of a few tornados to spin up. Stay tuned to WDVM 25 Weather as we track and watch these storms and bring you the very latest!
Monday will be a total switch in the weather with cold rushing air coming into the region. Accumulations if any will be light.
Tuesday and Wednesday also look to be beautiful days with temperatures rebounding into the 60’s and 70’s. More clouds will come into the region Thursday with a chance of an isolated shower during the afternoon or evening hours. Our next chance of storms is Friday.
