Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a super Saturday. Today across the region we do have a slight chance of a few sprinkles or a few flakes. Most of all the precipitation will be to our south and west.
A cold front will bring cooler temperatures in for the weekend and into the early parts of next week. This system could bring in a slight chance for a few flakes of snow or a mix of rain or snow. Precipitation over the next week will rather sparse, compared to weeks’ past.
It will not be out a chance of a sprinkle or two on Saturday, Monday, and possibly Tuesday. We will also see a mix of clouds over the next week.
After a chilly start to the work week, the mass of colder air will move back off to the north and east. A ridge of high pressure will make its place known as we head into mid to late week. This high-pressure system will help clear us out just a little bit but will warm us back to spring-like temperatures.
However, long-term, I see a few more cold spells before spring will fully feel like spring. I don’t know about you, but I am ready to see sunshine and May flowers.
Here is a look at the forecast:
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a flake of snow or a sprinkle of rain. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s. Winds will be out of the north 5 to 15 mph.
Saturday night: Gradual clearing. Cloudy to partly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the low to mid 20’s. Winds will be out of the north 5-10 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40’s.
Monday: Partly to mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of a few flurries mixed with a few sprinkles. Highs will be in the low to middle 40’s.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers. Highs will be in the 50’s.
Wednesday: Partly sunny skies. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50’s.
Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s.
Friday: Partly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the low to mid 60’s.
