A cold start is in the forecast as you make your way back to work on Monday. Be sure to bundle up the kids before they head off to school. Temperatures though for the afternoon should rebound into the 60’s. A Frost Advisory is in effect until 8 AM Monday for the following counties: Fulton, Franklin [PA], Washington, Frederick [MD], Clarke, and Frederick Counties [VA] along with the City of Winchester. Sensitive plants overnight may be damaged by frost. Be sure to bring the temperature sensitive plants inside or wrap them up outside.
As we head into Monday night, clouds will begin to head into the region as a cold front approaches the area on Tuesday. A rumble of thunder will be possible Monday night into Tuesday with a few isolated to scattered thundershowers. We may be able to see a thunderstorm if not Tuesday, but Wednesday and Thursday as the atmosphere become primed for thunderous activity. A few storms during the week may be intense. A few severe thunderstorms may come mid to late week. Be sure to stay tuned to WDVM 25 for the latest weather information.
Temperatures will cool off as we head into the latter part of the week. A shower and a storm are possible Friday before clearing out on next Saturday with temperatures dropping into the 60’s.

Sunday night: Mostly clear with slight frosting. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30’s with only a few locations going into the lower 40’s. Winds will be out of the north at 5-10 mph.
Monday: Mostly sunny to start the morning. As we head into the afternoon and evening, we could hear a rumble of thunder plus a few showers. Highs will be in the low to mid 60’s. Winds will be out of the south and east at 5-15 mph.
Tuesday: Partly to mostly cloudy skies with a chance of thundershowers. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s.
Wednesday: Anticipate mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. A few storms may be intense. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70’s.
Thursday: Plan for mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and storms. A few may be on the firm side. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s.
Friday: Expect partly cloudy skies with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s.
Saturday: Watch for partly sunny skies with a slight chance of a leftover shower. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s.
Sunday: Mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s.
