NOVA Forecast for Friday 26 April 2019

Nova Forecast

Showers will continue to be off and on as we head into the overnight Thursday and your day Friday. We may hear a rumble of thunder during the overnight.

Showers and storms will come into the picture as we head into your Friday.  A few storms Friday afternoon may be intense to severe.

The Storm Prediction Center has our region under a Marginal to Slight Risk of severe weather.  This risk means a few to some storms isolated to scattered will be critical.  Most of the severe weather on Friday will occur in the Chesapeake Bay and Tidal Potomac River Basin.  Stay tuned to WDVM 25 as we track these showers and storms.  High wind and heavy rains will be likely with a few areas of small hail.  An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

As we head into the weekend, Saturday looks perfect!  Temperatures will be in the low to mid 60’s with a sweet and cool breeze!  The weather changes to a few clouds with a shower or so on Sunday with temperatures in the mid to upper 60’s.  To start your work week look for mostly sunny skies Monday with another refreshing and relaxing day in the low to middle 60’s with a few upper 60’s.

The beautiful weather Monday will turn rather warm and slightly sticky on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Showers will be back in the forecast and temperatures will be in the 70’s with possible storms for Wednesday.  A possible leftover shower is probable for Thursday.
