Adam’s NOVA Forecast for 5.29.19

Nova Forecast

Good Tuesday evening, everyone! Strong to severe storms will impact parts of the region through the first part of the night…especially along and north of the Mason-Dixon Line. A tornado watch will remain in effect until 10 pm for our Southern PA counties, which means that conditions are favorable for tornadic development. Please keep an eye out for any updates both on-air and online. Storms will slowly quiet down as we head through the night, but the break will be short lived. Another round of strong to severe thunderstorms is possible on Wednesday, with an “Enhanced Risk” for severe weather already in place for much of the region. Hail and gusty winds are the primary concerns once again, but there’s always the non-zero risk for a tornado or two. Just like tonight, keep an eye out for future updates. All the while, it’ll be another hot and humid day on Wednesday.

A few more showers and thunderstorms are possible on Thursday with another piece of energy moving through the region. For the third day in a row, we run another risk for some strong to severe storms at times…and this risk lingers as a cold front pushes through the region later in the evening and into the night. A much needed break takes us into the end of the week and into the first half of the weekend. Showers and a few storms are also possible on Sunday as a new cold front pushes into the Mid-Atlantic. Cooler, drier, and more stable air returns for the first half of next week.

Here’s a look at your extended forecast:

Have a great evening!
