Happy Thursday, everyone! A dense fog advisory will remain in effect until 9 a.m. for eastern parts of the viewing area. Visibility will be compromised, so be sure to exercise caution on the roads as you get ready for work or school. The rest of the day will feature unseasonable warmth pushing back into the area for everyone. A warm front will continue to lift northward and send this plume of warmth and moisture our way. Pop-up showers and thunderstorms will, once again, be possible later today as temperature climb well into the 80s in many locations. Just like Wednesday, today is far from a total wash-out, but be sure to have back-up plans ready to go.
Low pressure will move into Canada on Friday, dragging an associated cold front our way by the end of the work and school week. This holds our best chance for showers and thunderstorms for the work week, and some of these storms may be strong to severe in intensity. A wave of low pressure will move along the front on Saturday, sending more rain our way and a chance for a few storms along the way. This low will get out of here through Sunday, allowing high pressure to try and take over for Monday. A cold front will then make its move on Tuesday, though the boundary is lacking in terms of moisture.
