Adam’s NOVA Forecast for 4.24.19

Nova Forecast

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Following yesterday evening’s rain and storm activity, we’ll get a nice break today. While the afternoon won’t be as warm as Tuesday, it’ll still be just as pleasant and comfortable. High pressure at the surface will build into the area and keep things dry from start to finish under mostly sunny skies. Be mindful of the breezy conditions, though! Cloud cover will increase overnight and into Thursday as southerly flow takes over once again and a cold front approaches from the west. While the morning should be dry, scattered showers are possible through the afternoon and evening on Thursday before more showers and even a few storms are possible overnight and into Friday.

Following Friday’s frontal passage, high pressure will build back into the region. Chillier and brisk weather will return for the first half of the weekend, but the break doesn’t last for very long. Another cold front arrives on Sunday, sending a lesser chance for some scattered showers. We get yet another brief break on Monday with high pressure attempting to hold serve, but rain wins out more often than not as we go into the middle of next week.

Here’s a look at your extended forecast:
