Adam’s NOVA Forecast for 04.07.18

Nova Forecast

Good evening, and Thank Goodness It’s Friday! Beyond a few isolated sprinkles in the morning, today has been a dry and grey day…but it has also been noticeably warmer! Don’t get used to it, folks! A cold front will move through the region tonight, and while moisture will be scarce…chillier air will not. The best chance to see anything fall from the sky will be the closer to the I-66 corridor you go. Everyone, however, gets in on cold weather by April standards, with temperatures struggling to get out of the low 40’s. Same rules apply on Sunday, but we’ll at least have some sunshine as high pressure moves into the region.

This break will also be short lived with another low approaching the region on Monday. While this is yet another moisture-starved system, there is still the chance for a few rain and snow showers as this low moves through the area. Rain chances linger into the day on Tuesday and reappear on Thursday. With that said, one other trend starts to come along, and it’s one for the better. A warm-up will take us through next week, with temperatures peaking well into the 60’s by the second half of next week!

Here’s a look at your extended forecast:

Tonight: Cloudy with a chance of rain showers and a few wet snowflakes…especially further south. Lows: 31-36. Northwest winds at 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain/snow showers. Highs: 40-45. North winds around 10 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 40’s.

Monday: Increasing cloudiness with a chance of rain/snow showers. Highs in the low 40’s.

Tuesday: Cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs in the low to mid 50’s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the low 50’s.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs in the low 60’s.

Friday: Sunny and warmer. Highs in the upper 60’s.

Have a great weekend!
