Warm temperatures on this Tuesday lead to an increase of clouds as a cold front is bound to affect the region on Wednesday. This frontal system will make us cooler for Wednesday plus the addition of a secondary, and more powerful front come Thursday into Friday will create rain showers overnight Wednesday into Thursday, with a few breaks during the day before another round of rain on Friday as the system moves through the region.
As compared to this weekend, rainfall totals have once again climbed back up to around a half to three-quarters of an inch. A few areas cloud see rainfall as high as one inch possible. Once all this rainfall falls, temperatures will plummet for the weekend.
This weekend, winter returns to the region. Lows will be in the 20’s, while highs will only be into the 30’s. A few flurries to drizzle will fall on Sunday into Monday, but a greater chance of precipitation comes Tuesday.
We are monitoring next week as a system moves through the region. We may see rain, snow mix. With warming temperatures, however, we hope impacts will be limited. Stay tuned as this forecast is likely to change over the next several days.
