A sweet and sunny day Wednesday will turn partly sunny as we make our way into Thursday.
We have the potential for showers and storms on Friday. Temperatures should retain their above-average trend.
The system for Friday will carry about a quarter to a half inch of rain with areas within thunderstorms seeing about three-quarters to an inch. Storms may pop-up during the afternoon. Severe storms for Friday should stay below severe limits as the center of low pressure heads up into the Great Lakes and Canada. A storm may be strong, but we may see a few heavy rain showers along with a bit of thunder.
Saturday morning, we may see a shower before trying to clear during the afternoon. Saturday still should be a good day to get out and about doing outdoor activities and to complete the honey do list. Are you going out to a game? The Hagerstown Suns will be in town taking on the Tourist from Ashville! Weather will be the best for that on Saturday with temperatures into the mid to upper 70’s. Saturday’s weather will be a perfect day to get out the shorts and t-shirts.
If you are wearing your Sunday best for Palm Sunday, be sure to put the rain gear in the trunk before you head off to services and going out to the grocery store. You may want to take a small umbrella into the church house just in case it decides to rain. Showers and storms for Sunday should occur during the afternoon and evening hours. Thunderstorms may be on the heavier side Sunday with rainfall amounts one-third up to two-thirds of an inch. A few areas within heavy thundershowers may see up to an inch or so of rain.
Monday is Tax Day! We will see a shower to start, but we will be slow to clear during the afternoon — highs in the mid to upper 60’s. Skies, though on your Tuesday will be sunnier with highs in the top 60’s. Wednesday will bring 70’s along with another chance of rain. Be sure to stay tuned to WDVM 25 Weather for the latest weather updates, especially on Friday and Sunday when we may see a few storms. We will be here to track them for you!
