While the morning brought sunshine, the afternoon has its sun and clouds. More of them will develop on Sunday as a wave of moisture dives into the region. Expect a few showers throughout the day. We may even hear a rumble of thunder in the afternoon.
The heaviest showers on Sunday will likely be between a quarter and a half-inch of rain. Then the chance of rain dries up a bit for the week, with sunshine returning with rising temperatures. Humidity will come into play Thursday into Friday.
Friday onward, we may be looking at a chance of rain as humidity increases across the area. Otherwise, it will be well above average with that humid feel—one of the first tastes of summer.
Here is a look at your 7-day forecast:
Saturday: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the 70s.
Sunday: Showers likely with a slight chance of a rumble of thunder. Heavier showers could see between a quarter to a half-inch of rain. Highs will be in the 60s and 70s.
Monday: Mostly cloudy skies will gradually turn partly clear. Highs will be in the 70s.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy and with a good bit of sunshine. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s.
