Happy Tuesday, everyone! A warm front will lift northward through the region, sending warmer weather back into our neck of the woods. Highs today will trend about 10 to 15 degrees warmer than yesterday under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are possible later on, with a few storms becoming strong to severe in eastern parts of the region. A backdoor cold front will try to push southward through the region, placing the region in a tricky spot in terms of forecasting. With the boundary expected to be situated over the area, it’s all about location. Areas north and east of the front may not get out of the 60s, while regions south of the front could run toward 80 degrees. Regardless, everyone still gets in on a chance for some showers and a thunderstorm or two in the afternoon.
This front will return north as a warm front, sending very warm weather our way for Thursday. Highs across the board will likely climb into the low 80s for much of the region, and we’ll even have to deal with a bit of humidity as well. All the while, we’ll have to watch for another chance at some pop-up showers and storms in the afternoon. A cold front will pass through the area by the end of the week, keeping the chance for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for the fifth Friday in a row. Saturday holds a lesser chance for showers, but we do have another low pressure system that will arrive by Sunday. High pressure will try to take over for the start of next week.
