Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you were able to enjoy the weekend. A cool start to the day will give way to a warmer afternoon with increasing amounts of sunshine as cloud cover dissipates. High temperatures, as a result, will trend a few degrees higher than yesterday, so be sure to enjoy the day if you can. A brisk breeze will be the only “blemish” to an otherwise rather nice day. Clear skies stick around through the night, allowing us to enjoy another cool and calm night. A frontal boundary will approach from the Ohio Valley on Tuesday. This will increase cloud cover through the evening, but it’ll also send temperatures well into the upper 70s and low 80s. Scattered showers are possible overnight and into Wednesday as this front pushes through the region.
This front will return northward as a warm front on Thursday, keeping the chance for some spotty showers in place. Another cold front will cross the region on Friday, keeping the chance for some scattered showers in place for the end of the week. An isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out, though chances are low at the moment. High pressure returns for Saturday, bringing sunnier skies and more seasonable temperatures with it. Sunday starts off dry, but a cold front may sink through the area and bring back a chance for some late weekend showers and thunderstorms.
