Good Tuesday evening, everyone! While the morning got off to a decent start, cloud cover increased through the afternoon. A cold front will slowly sink into the region this evening, sending a chance of showers and thunderstorms our way. A few of these storms may be strong to severe in nature, but coverage will be spotty at best overall. Regardless, please be sure to keep an eye on the skies if and when you head out this evening. Shower and storm chances will gradually dissipate, especially after , as high pressure builds into the Mid-Atlantic. Drier and cooler weather will hang around through Thursday before high pressure moves eastward and eventually out of the region.
Another frontal boundary will approach the area on Friday, and while much of the day is dry I can’t rule out a few isolated late day showers and even a rumble of thunder. Additional rain chances arise later on Saturday and into Sunday morning as well with yet another system that we’ll need to keep an eye on. The first part of next week will remain near average in terms of temperatures, but rainfall may be a bit tricky. The latter detail will be based on where a frontal boundary sets up shop and stalls.
