Washington Football to wear patch to honor Bobby Mitchell as well as decals for social injustices


LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va (WDVM) — The Washington Football team announced that they will be wearing a patch on their jerseys with the number 49 on it to honor the late Bobby Mitchell.

Also, many players will have decals on the back of their helmets with phrases such as “Black Lives Matter.”

The team kicks off their 2020 season on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles at 1 p.m.
