U. S. Senator Capito reacts to SOTU, wants to create new opportunities

Senator Shelley Moore Capito provided her focuses as 2019 continues as well as reaction to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.

“I stand ready to work with the president and my colleagues in Congress to continue the momentum we’ve created these past two years and continue delivering solutions that will lead to an even more prosperous nation,” Capito said in an official release.

Capito said she continues to support strengthening border secuirty by building the border wall and improving American infrastructure.

She also mentioned that the men and women working at the borders aid in prevent drugs from circulating.

“I think the President framed what he and I believe is a crisis at the southern border, when you talk about the criminal element that’s coming in the drugs that are coming in the inability for our men and women on the border tasked with stopping illegal immigration to be able to really get a handle on it,” Capito said.

She also mentioned that she wants to create new opportunities and build a brighter future for West Virginians in addition to all Americans.
