Toddler struck by turning vehicle

Around 4:30 p.m. on April 25, deputies with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a pedestrian accident in Petersburg, West Virginia.

On South Main Street, officials found the victim to be a toddler in a stroller. According to first responders, a vehicle was making a right-hand turn and did not see a woman pushing a stroller through the crosswalk.

The child was flown to WVU Medical with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
