For the first time, Panhandle Senior Networking hosted a resource fair for seniors.
16 different programs and services in Martinsburg attended the resource fair at Berkeley Senior Center to focus on improving the lives of seniors. All community members were invited to walk table to table to see what they feel and benefit from.
Event organizers say this idea came from what they see seniors in the community need.
“Different topics that are important to seniors and also to bring in a lot of programs and services that are in the community that seniors would like to know more about, and they range from health home care to places where you might need to get devices Alzheimer Association,” Dana DeJarnett said, a panhandle senior networking committee. With how well the fair went, event coordinators say they will have another one soon.
