Sexual harassment can happen in the workplace but one West Virginia attorney made sure residents have resources in case it happens to them.
The Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce hosted a discussion that’s recently been in the public eye. With over 30 attendees, local leaders and West Virginia residents attended a lecture, “What Employers Need to Know in a #METOO World.”
Wendy Adkins, an attorney, shared many issues and solutions in case employees experience sexual assault or a hostile work environment.
“I’ve been asked to speak about the Me Too movement and its implications on employers particularly here in West Virginia and how it affects not only big businesses but as well as your small and medium size (ones) as well,” Adkins said.
