A Falling Waters man has been charged with second-degree murder, after a 37-year-old woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds over the weekend.
On Sunday, a West Virginia State Police trooper and deputy from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home on Crawford Quarry Road in Falling Waters around 6:35 p.m. for the report of a homicide. A caller, identified as William “Bill” Franklin, had notified the Berkeley County 911 Center that his girlfriend, Melissa Lindamood, had been stabbed and was “no longer with us.”
The trooper and deputy found Lindamood unresponsive in the kitchen of the home, with multiple stab wounds to her neck and torso. Franklin was charged with second-degree murder, in what authorities believe was a domestic-related incident.
