A woman drops off a man’s body at a hospital and leaves.

Morgan County Sheriff’s say the woman left the man, 25 to 30 years old, at the Valley Health War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs last Friday. The woman was later found in Hancock, where authorities detained her for questioning. She said she only knew of him as “Elgin” and picked him up on Harrison Avenue in Berkeley Springs and took him to the hospital saying he was unconscious.

The cause of death remains unknown. The man, identified only as “John Doe,” is potentially from Montgomery County. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this incident or the identity is asked to call the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.
