Two Juvenile suspects were injured while attempting to rob a convenience store early Monday morning.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m., two male juveniles entered the Williamsport Pike 7-Eleven and displayed what appeared to be firearms at the clerk and a patron, demanding money. The patron was an off-duty law enforcement officer, who engaged with and reportedly shot both suspects. One suspect fled the scene and was apprehended by law enforcement.
“Both juveniles were taken to Berkeley Medical Center, one of them was flown straight from the scene, put on the helicopter at the medical center and flown to Baltimore,” said Berkeley County Sheriff Curtis Keller. “The other one was in the hospital and was flown to Fairfax, INOVA Fairfax. Both are listed as stable.”
According to Keller, the investigation is currently ongoing and the suspects’ names are being withheld pending the outcome of the investigation.
