West Virginia residents creating solar energy ‘co-ops’

News
West Virginians are teaming up to save energy and help the environment.

West Virginia Sun is an organization that acts as a middle man between solar energy manufacturing companies and those who wish to use solar energy.

West Virginia Sun has been traveling all over the state giving presentations and information to those interested.

The co-ops consist of 20 to 30 people who pledge to use solar energy in their neighborhoods.

“Co-ops give you the confidence of knowing that you are taking part in this group, that you’re going to get that fair and competitive pricing, that you’re going to have us to support you and answer your questions and to guide you through the process,” said Autumn Long, Coordinator, West Virginia Sun.

The final solar co-op informational meeting will be held Thursday at the Charles Town Public Library. For more information, click here.
