I-295 reopens 12 hours after pedestrian bridge collapse

WASHINGTON (WDVM) — D.C. Fire and EMS officials say I-295 is completely open after 12 hours of its initial closure due to the collapse of a pedestrian bridge in Northeast Wednesday afternoon.

Officials say debirs have been removed from the highway. The bridge collapse is still under investigation.
