All around the world, Sept. 21 is observed as a day of peace.
St. Marks Episcopal Church in Boonsboro celebrated the event a little early with a night of dancing and eating.
In what is called the Feast for Peace, Dance Alchemy, a dance group from Baltimore, displayed dances from many cultures around the world with a message of peace and unity.
After the show, attendees were able to enjoy a buffet full of food from all parts of the world.
“So many different cultures around the world have a dance. We learn each others’ dance, and then we learn each others languages. That brings us together in a more peaceful way,” said Candice Tritch, Director, Dance Alchemy.
The event took place Sunday, Sept. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m.
