A Winchester man is sentenced to jail for his role in a home invasion.

32 year-old Hugh Ellen Vannatter was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in a state penitentiary for one count of robbery. The Warren County judge suspended seven years of the sentence under a plea agreement.

Authorities accused Vannatter of playing a role in the July 18  invasion of a home on Mccoy’s Ford Road.  A criminal complaint states that the victim, Robert Smith, reported that two men broke into his home. One man held a black pistol to the victim’s head and the other wielded a bat while money was taken.
