Virginia

A Winchester man is facing additional charges after allegedly killing two people in a drunk driving accident in Frederick County, Virginia.

Anthony Morris, 37, was indicted by a Frederick County grand jury on two counts of maiming while driving under the influence.

Morris was initially charged on March 30 with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of driving while intoxicated.

On March 24, Morris allegedly drove his pickup truck head on into the car driven by Michael Mercer on Papermill Road in Frederick County. Mercer and his father-in-law Jimmy Kilbourne were killed in the crash, and Mercer’s wife Victoria and his son James were seriously injured.
