US Foods doubling footprint in Virginia

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe said a major food distributor is expanding in Prince William County.
Gov. McAuliffe announced the state is providing US Foods, one of the nation’s largest food service distributors, a job investment grant of $350,000.
US Foods officials said they plan to utilize the grant by adding 200,000+ square feet to their Prince William County distribution facility in Manassas.
“Virginia won. Over five other states were considered. When a leading company like US Foods chooses to invest in Virginia, it is a really strong testament to the advantage of a strategic mid-Atlantic location,” said Suzanne Clark, Virginia Economic Development Communications Director.
Officials said the renovation will provide nearly 100 new jobs in Northern Virginia
