The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival is a legendary one in the art world, and it’s an opportunity for experts to share their craft with the community.
For the first time, the festival made a stop on its fall tour at the Dulles Expo Center. Over 300 artists from across the country were juried before winning their coveted spots at the festival.
According to show manager Lorrie Staley, 70 to 80 percent of the featured artists’ craft is a full time job. “This is their livelihood,” said Staley, “This is what they do all year long; they do it all summer long, all winter long. This is how they make their livings.”
The festival will continue through the weekend. Admission is $10.
