Strasburg man sentenced to jail for assault and battery

Virginia

A Strasburg man has received the minimum recommended sentence for assaulting his ex-girlfriend in May of 2018

Jerry Leon Williams, 30, was sentenced to four years for domestic assault and battery, strangulation, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

The victim said Williams choked her until she passed out and when she awoke, he punched her in her eye, and threatened to kill her.

Frederick County court documents show that all but seven months of the sentence were suspended as a part of a plea bargain.
