Fairfax County officials gathered as a new disability center in Springfield, Virginia officially opened its doors.
The ServiceSource South Springfield Community Integration Center will be a space for individuals with developmental disabilities, veterans, and elderly to come and get the support they need.
The programs the community center offers are a means to bridge the community together and help those who have different developmental disabilities.
Vice President of ServiceSource says their facilities are life changers.
“We really look for ways to help support individuals with whatever needs they may have, whether it’s employment, whether its activity of daily living, or just engaging in their normal lives in the community, and so we really have expanded our services to be able to support lots of needs within our community,” said Ken Crum, Senior Vice President.
The building will also have an area reserved for mission-based organizations to rent office space.
