The Prince William County Police Department has arrested the driver involved in a hit and run that killed a 17-year-old in September of 2018.
Police say car parts left behind at the scene of the crime and a witness description of the car led to the arrest of 34-year-old Raymond Robinson.
Investigators received a warrant for his arrest and he turned himself in on May 14.
“Most parts of a vehicle have numbers on them that can help us at least narrow down to make or model,” said Sergeant Jonathan Perok. “This did more than that — it narrows down to a year range in addition to a make and model, which helps in that regard.”
Robinson will appear in court in July. He is being held without bond.
