Police in Prince William County are investigating a robbery in Manassas that left one man injured.
At 1:50 this morning, officers responded to the area of Ashton Avenue and Crestwood Drive to investigate a robbery. The victim, identified as a 31-year-old man reported that he was walking in the area when he was approached by an an acquaintance. During the encounter, the victim was allegedly struck in the face by an unknown object. Police say the suspect then took money and personal documents from the victim before running away.
“We’re actively looking for the person of interest. Right now we don’t have any charges placed at this point but we do hope to come to a conclusion over the weekend,” said Officer Nathan Probus, spokesperson for Prince William County Police Department.
The investigation is ongoing.
