Prince William County police say one man is dead following a crash late last night in Bristow, Virginia.
According to reports, around 10:35 p.m. investigators responded to the 10900 block of Bristow Road for a single vehicle crash. An Acura Integra was heading east on Bristow Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and struck two trees.
Two rear passengers were thrown from the vehicle. The driver and a passenger in the front seat were trapped and had to be extricated. A fifth passenger, identified as 24-year-old Edgar Medrano, who was sitting behind the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other four passengers were transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police say speed appears to be a factor but it’s unclear if alcohol and drugs were factors.
