Officers create active shooter training company

Virginia

With the national rise in mass shootings, a Northern Virginia company is teaching various institutions and individuals how to best be prepared ahead of a crisis.

“With our training and experience as first responders, which is hundreds and hundreds of hours of training, we figure we could put something together. Something attainable that everyday citizens can use to save their lives in an active shooter or active incident event,” said Michael Rodriguez, founder of Ariah Solutions.

Helping save lives around the country, Ariah Solutions provides its clients with the tools they need to stay safe, alert and alive during any violent active incident.

“You are not going to stop all crime, but if you make your location a less desirable target by being safer, you can reduce the amount of criminal activity, you can reduce the amount of crime on that location,” said Charles Lloyd, the Director of Planning and Assessments. “You have to be prepared. You have to prepare for the best and hope for the best in most cases.”
