Mother accused of murdering her daughter worked with autistic and disabled children

Virginia

Last Thursday a West Virginia woman, Julie Orellana, was accused of killing her 8-year-old daughter and shooting her 11-year-old daughter. We reached out to Orellana’s former place of employment, Grafton Integrated Health Network in Berryville, Va. and they say:

“We are all shocked and saddened at this horrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Olivia and the Orellana family. Our staff continues to remain focused on our mission and to serving our clients,” said Chief Operating Officer of Grafton Integrated Health Network, Scott Zeiter.

Her oldest daughter Olivia was able to escape but Eliza’s life was taken. Orellana worked as a residential instructor for children with autism and other disabilities. She began working at Grafton back in February and helped supervise children and run evening therapeutic programs. She remains in Eastern Regional Jail without bond.
