Police have arrested a man they believe stabbed a woman as she walked down an Arlington, Va. street Saturday evening.

Thursday morning, Arlington County Police announced 61-year-old Isiah Hill, of Washington D.C., had been arrested in the district.

Thursday, Hill was being held in D.C., pending extradition to Virginia. Once extradited, he will be charged with aggravated malicious wounding and abduction.

Police said the victim was walking in the area of Fort Myer Drive early Saturday evening, when she was allegedly approached by an unknown man, who they now believe was Hill. He brandished a knife, and stabbed her.

The woman is in stable condition.
